I don’t know how long this brand of pencils has been on the market (maybe since March 2018, because that is when the trademark was registered) but it seems to me that, with the resurgent interest in colouring for adults and therefore the creation of a wider market for colouring materials, the Chinese are taking on the big boys in the colour pencil range of products and doing a mighty fine job of it.

I enjoy working with these watercolor pencils. I had to adjust how hard I bear down on paper with the pencils because they are softer than other pencils I have used. I love the pigments of these pencils and I absolutely love the wooden box that they came in. This would make an excellent gift for the artist or for a person like me who loves to tinker with all kinds of mediums to create things for my home.

Like many of my friends, I started coloring when Covid hit. Unlike many of my friends, I continued the hobby long after the pandemic because I fell in love with the whole world of coloring, specifically, grayscale coloring. Nearly four years later I’m still a novice, but I know a thing or two about the utensils used for the process.
Without really knowing what I was doing at the time, I selected Schpirerr Farben pencils. I had read some positive reviews extolling them, but mostly I wanted an affordable oil based pencil. ( Generally, oil based pencils are more expensive than wax ones.)
In this instance, my relative ignorance paid off. My pencils arrived beautifully packaged. No breakage on any tips, and they were housed in a lovely tin. But the real surprise was the quality of the set. The colors lay down easily and richly, some might describe the application as creamy. The pencils keep their points, with little need to sharpen every few minutes and the variation of colors is really pretty impressive.
I have paid much more for other oil based pencils, but these are my favorite. In September, I ordered my third set. They are even affordable enough for me to have gifted them to a cousin who also got hooked on coloring.
If you’re interested in a good quality oil based pencil, save yourself some money and try these. Being a novice, I’m not sure professionals would agree that they are “ simply the best,” but I’m almost sure they could not summarily dismiss them. They’re that good.
Hope this helps. Happy creativity!

Arrived much sooner than expected. Packaged well and arrived undamaged. Beautiful looking set of pencils which I am pleased to add to my collection. Lay down smoothly and blend well.

Great pencils for a bargain! These pencils lay down smooth and are very easy to blend and mix colors. I love how rich, vibrant, and pigmented they are. I wouldn’t say they are quite up there with Faber-Castell Polychromos, but for the quantity, quality, and price, they are great for adult coloring books.
I actually love them and set my prismacolors aside. I love the fact these are oil based pencils so you don’t get that infamous wax bloom if you heavily layer colors. They are a hard pencil compared to Prismacolors and Derwent Colorsoft pencils which I prefer a harder lead. If I could describe these pencils they’re a mix of Prismacolor and Polychromos.
They are very easy to sharpen and sharpen way better than Prismacolor pencils. I sharpened them with my Faber-Castell Colour Grip sharpener and had absolutely no lead breakage.
The pencil trays are sturdy and not flimsy. The tin is also very nice no complaints. Very easy to keep them safe and organized.
I own Polychromos, Derwent, Prismacolor, Staedtler, and Caran D’Ache pencils and can say these are pretty solid, smooth, and good quality pencils with great pigment.
Word of advice: I know they come pre-sharpened already, but they tend to be scratchy. I highly recommend you sharpen them first before using them. Other than that I’ve had no issues except trying to put them down and color for hours!
Overall, I am very happy with these pencils and the company too is very friendly. I would highly recommend them! I’m not a professional artist or colorist, but I take my coloring hobby seriously. 🙂

I like it because there are varieties of colors to choose especially when i need to blend them. The reason why i choose this product is that i am an artist and i have been Dreaming of having these pencil colors for a long time. And I am glad I have it.
